Pallet shrink bags are tubular polyethylene shrink films typically with a thickness ranging from 80 to 200 microns. Once placed over a pallet, the cover enters a heat tunnel with a temperature between 160°C and 200°C. During this stage, the film shrinks by approximately 40%, and the resulting tensile stress tightly secures the load on the pallet as a single, unified package. This transparent cover acts as a protective layer, safeguarding the pallet against external factors such as dust, moisture, and surface scratches.
In addition to enhancing load security during transport and storage, pallet shrink bags give the packaging a neater appearance and allow for easy visual inspection of the contents. For these reasons, this type of packaging is widely used in the food, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries.
